The Act, being a tv show, has taken a few liberties with the real lives of the two women. This week the The Act premiered on Hulu with its first two episodes, which fictionalized the stranger-than-fiction murder of Dee Dee Blanchard and the role her daughter, Gypsy Rose, played in it as well as chronicling what led up to it.
